This Report is brought to you by the PA Great Lakes Region tourism with additional

We answer the question “What’s biting in the lakes, streams and rivers of Crawford, Erie

FRENCH CREEK – flowing through all four counties

Mark Posego; filed 9/26: “Dan and I had a good day on French Creek over the weekend.
We boated 20 smallmouth bass. A Yum Dinger in Junebug color was the bait of the day!”

last Saturday, including a 28-incher that I released. I caught them on that crazy Rebel
Frog. The walleyes seem to be working the crawdads hard. The one I kept had 20 small
craws in its belly! I am hoping for a little rain to get the walleyes moving again.”

getting walleyes on blades. They were also picking up some nice crappies. The lake is 32
inches below normal and water temperature is 65 degrees at 10 feet down. The Jame-
stown Livery will be open through the end of October.”

Dave @ Richter’s Sporting Goods & General Store; filed 9/28: “The word from most an-
glers is ‘slow.’ A handful of guys are catching walleyes on blades. The blade bite will pick
