FISHING with DARL BLACK Guide Service
September Special on Conneaut Lake
Fishing success on Conneaut Lake this time of year is better than at
Pymatuning or Wilhelm – that’s why I focus on this deepwater nat-
ural lake as summer winds down. The crappie fishing at Conneaut
Lake this year has been as good as I’ve ever seen it in the late sum-
mer. With cooler daytime temps
forecast and most of the power boat/jet ski frolickers
leaving the lake after Labor Day, there is no better time to
fish Conneaut for panfish than during September. In addi-
tion to crappies and bluegills, fish-catching action typical-
ly includes a few largemouth and smallmouth bass taken
on crappie jigs – that’s fun!
Just ask Jim McClave about
the day he enjoyed on Con-
neaut recently! Until Sep-
tember 30, I will be offering
a special on panfish trips to
Conneaut: $150.00 for one
or two people for a five hour
trip – all tackle provided. Get Conneaut Bluegill
in on the fun!
