Bassmaster Elite Angler Dave Lefebre’s June Tip for Lake Erie

“June is my favorite month to fish Lake Erie for big smallmouths. Many
of these fish are still in pre-spawn. Water is still cold in June. My top
two baits are a jerkbait for fish moving up shallow and a dropshot
Shad Shape Worm when I see fish staged out deeper on points. The
Rapala new Shadow Rap Shad is going to be dynamite this time of
year because smallmouths like slowly rising baits. And it is available in
hot bright colors that drive smallies crazy!”

month of June and into early July. By late July it will be
time for BIG bluegills and crappies at Conneaut Lake.
