Laurie @ Duck-N-Drake; filed 6-13: “Nothing much to report from customers this past
week given the weather. Bluegills are biting. Earlier in week, some anglers had been doing
okay trolling for walleyes with crawler harnesses. If the weather holds, my tip for Father’s
Day is to work the shallow water (about 10 to 12 feet) for walleye with crawlers.”

Russ @ Gateway Bait; filed 6-13: “Been pretty tough with all the wind lately. Walleyes
continue to be caught fairly shallow – likely because of the wind. There is a good yellow
perch and white bass bite along Causeway in the morning and evening. Hearing about a
lot of bass being caught, too. And the bow guys are up shooting carp.”

Patty @ Poff’s Place; filed 6-13: “Fish catches have been up and down. Bluegills have
been the hottest bite; crappies have been okay but not great and walleyes have been
tough to come by. But that can all change by next weekend – you’ve just got to come up
and give it try. You can’t catch fish sitting at home. So that’s my tip for Father’s Day – take
your Dad fishing.”

Sydney @ Robinson’s Bait; filed 6-13: “Crappies are being caught in the Harris Island
Stumps. Walleyes are reportedly being caught in 11 feet of water on anything blue and
silver. Drift fishing with Water Puppet Jigs between Clark Island and Tuttle Point is produc-
ing crappies and walleyes.”

Keith Beamer (Bellefonte); filed 6-10: “We fished Pymatuning 6/7 to 6/9 in the wind dur-
ing the evenings. Fishing was slow but we managed to keep busy. We put a few legal wall-
eye in the boat, plus crappies and perch – all caught trolling worm harnesses. On the
evening of June 9th we caught 8 largemouth bass on wacky rigged Senkos around felled
trees – nothing big but it was nice to find a pattern. Of course as we were packing up on
Friday, the wind quit blowing.” (See photos above)

Jim McClave (Andover); filed 6-7: “Crappies are really picking up on the humps in the
southern part of Pymatuning. In the past 2 days, my buddy and I have caught 60 crappies.
Most were in the 10 to 12 inch range, with the biggest being a 15-3/4 inch black crappie.
We are fishing in 12 to 15 feet of water, dangling minnows near the bottom. A few are
taken on jigs. But we had to battle the wind – hard staying on the fish but worth it.”
