It’s time to book your 2016 fishing trips with
“Fishing with Darl Black” Guide Service!

Look Back at 2015 Season: Due to unsettled spring weather, we strug-
gled off and on with crappies early in season. Crappie catches improved
later in spring; some guests had their best days ever for crappie at
Pymatuning. The August/September bluegill bite on Conneaut Lake was
great, along with some monster summer crappies. However, the antici-
pated fall walleye bite at Pymatuning never materialized by the end of November – due
to the extremely mild weather which prevailed until Christmas. Yet the Pymatuning late
fall crappie bite was astonishing!

Look Ahead to 2016 Season: My anticipated calendar for guide trips in
2016.

 April – Smallmouth bass fishing on the Allegheny River and local
lakes

 May through mid-July – Crappie and bluegill fishing at Pymatun-
ing Lake; will run limited number of walleye trips at Pymatuning

 June & July – Trolling for walleyes and crappies on Lake Wilhelm
 Late July through September – Bluegill and crappie on Conneaut

Lake (weekdays only); also channel cat or crappies at Pymatun-
ing
 October – Lunker smallmouth bass hunt on Conneaut Lake
 November – return to Pymatuning for crappies and walleyes
 In 2016, I’ll be looking to book instructional trips with anglers
who want a crack at catching smallmouth and largemouth bass all season long.
