A True Fish Story

The October 12 issue of the Fishing Report carried a photo of big largemouth bass taken
by Gavin Smith with Gamma Torque Line at Edinboro Lake. In this Gamma Line tip page,
youngster Gavin describes catching the big fish in his own words:

“The story of the big fish I caught is pretty inter- go
esting. So me and my dad, Jerry Smith, were a
fishing because we felt like it and we didn’t catch
anything until we had gone to a different spot
while shore fishing. My dad said it was time to
and I wanted to try the other side. So I went to
the other side and threw one cast. Nothing. I
threw one last cast and let it set. After some sec-
ond I felt a pull and a few more tugs. The next
tug I set the hook and had a fish on. Keeping
tension I reeled the fish in. The largemouth bass
put up a fight but after a while I won the battle.
The was huge and I could barely hold him. That’s
my story. Oh, almost forgot – the bait I used was Gavin with his Edinboro monster largemouth
swim bait.”
