I finally got out for some steelhead on October 24. I tried out
the new Gamma Line I won on the Fishing Report. After landing
several wild fighting steelheads, I was very impressed with how

well the line held up. Line really takes a beating when fishing
for steelhead. The creeks are busy with fishermen, but there
are still fish around. I like to fish steelhead best when there is
high water. Most of the fish are running 5 to 7 pounds. When
the creeks are clear and the fishing is tough, downsize to micro
baits and you’ll still with catch fish.
