The Landing Net by Darl Black

We need rain and cooler water temperatures. Not snow – just our normal amount of fall
precipitation and cooler temps. The inland water fall bites are behind schedule due to
warmer than normal temperatures and, to a lesser degree, lower water levels. Steelhead
in the Erie tributaries are waiting for rain to bring the
creek levels up so they can move upstream. Based on
limited reports received, the best things going are crap-
pies at Shenango River Lake and Pymatuning Lake along
with some bluegill and northern pike action at Con-
neaut Lake. The last of the fall colors will likely be blown
off the trees with the expected high winds and RAIN
forecast for Wednesday.
